Early mornings. Damp towels. Cold kids. Goggles that vanish the moment you need them. A mad dash from the car park to the pool with too many bags and not enough hands.
Swimming lessons and gala season have a way of sneaking up on you, and once it’s here, it’s full on. And that’s exactly why the TowelTote exists.
As parents ourselves, this was one of the biggest real-life moments we kept coming back to as we designed our first product. We wanted something that actually worked for these days, not something that looked nice but made life harder.
After a swim, kids need warmth quickly. A towel you can throw over their shoulders, pull the hood up, and keep them cosy while you dry hair, juggle bags or cheer from the sidelines. The hooded design does exactly that, giving a bit of comfort and warmth while they’re still dripping wet.
Then there’s the stuff. Goggles, caps, snacks, maybe a phone or keys. The zippered pocket means everything has a place, instead of rattling around the bottom of a bag or being forgotten on the poolside bench.
The backpack format was another non-negotiable. Hands-free makes a difference when you’re shepherding kids, carrying water bottles or managing timing sheets. It also means kids can carry their own gear, which is a small win that feels like a big one on busy mornings.
And then there’s the towel itself.
For older swimmers, days often start early with morning training, followed by swimming during PE or a gala later in the afternoon. Carrying multiple towels just isn’t practical, and bringing them all home usually means soggy piles draped over every surface in the house.
The quick-drying microfibre changes that. One towel can dry fast enough to be used again later in the day, which means less to carry, less to forget, and far fewer damp towels hanging over chairs, rails and bannisters at home.
It’s practical, it’s thoughtful, and it makes swimming days simpler.
Gala season is busy enough. Your gear shouldn’t make it harder.
